Our DUHS Clinical Laboratories

Duke University Health System Laboratories are made up of many individual laboratories under the administrative and medical oversight of our department of Department of Pathology. These laboratories are located at our three hospitals (Duke University Hospital, Duke Regional Hospital and Duke Raleigh Hospital), at the Ambulatory surgery clinic (North Pavilion) and many other off-site facilities and standalone clinics. The health system laboratories offer a broad range of services, from routine chemistry and hematology services to very specialized and esoteric testing. Over 650 laboratory professionals make up our clinical labs. This number does not include the many physicians and doctoral laboratory scientists who direct our laboratories and who with our staff ensure the highest quality clinical care for our Duke patients.
