Stool Collection Container Tube Tip Sheet

When submitting stool specimen, make sure to collect in the appropriate vial. Most stool collection vials contain either a transport media or preservative, depending on the test rested. Vials have color-coded tops/caps to make it easier to detect. It is advised to collect dedicated vials for each test ordered, where possible. Please note, specimens will not be shared between in-house testing and send-out testing. If specimens are shared or submitting in the wrong vial, orders will be cancelled.
